It is obvious from this that there is no one single set of exchange rates.
If you quote the eBay price to your buyer, they then pay using PayPal and you then withdraw the payment to your bank account
you will lose out due to the different currency rates eBay & PayPal use (not taking PayPals charges into account).
For example, using the rates above, if your auction ends at £100, eBay would convert that to $142.84,
when this is converted back into pounds by
PayPal you get £96.27, a loss of £3.73.
